Sri Guruvayoorappan Asthika Samajam - Nanganallur

In 1968, residents of Ramnagar, Nanganallur, under the guidance of Dr. T.V. Radhakrishna Sastry, formed the Sri Guruvayoorappan Asthika Samajam. This community, initially supported by donations from residents like Sri Gopalakrishnan and Sri P.V. Subramaniam, focused on religious and social activities, including regular study circles and debates.

By 1972, the Samajam saw significant growth, prompting the construction of a Prayer Hall and later, a full-fledged temple. Following an Asthamangala Prasnam, the temple project commenced, resulting in the installation of various deities, including Lord Sri Guruvayoorappan, and a thatched shed serving as a service center and prayer hall.

The temple construction, based on Kerala architecture, was completed in stages, including the installation of a Dwajastambham in 1996 and major renovations by 2000. The temple now features granite flooring, copper roofing, and comprehensive facilities for annadhanam, Ayurvedic dispensary, and educational assistance.

The Samajam continues its commitment to charitable activities, including regular annadhanam, free medical camps, education assistance, and cultural programs. The temple remains a vibrant center for worship and community service in Nanganallur.

Visit the Sri Guruvayoorappan Temple to experience spiritual growth and community engagement. May Lord Sri Guruvayoorappan bless you with love, peace, and prosperity.
